Snotty Nose Rez Kids: Hooligans (ft. Brevner)

Back in 2017, the Snotty Nose Rez Kids perked a few ears with their self-titled debut album. Three years, two albums and a whole lotta hustle later, the Haisla hip-hop duo are leading the Next Wave of Indigenous music.

In addition to scoring multiple award nominations (The Junos, the Western Canadian Music Awards and the Indigenous Music Awards among them), SNRK have made the Polaris Music Prize shortlist two years in a row. Their success has also led to some epic collaborations, including a long list of features on their latest album.

In the Season 3 premiere of DD Studio Sessions, we capture one of those collaborations at Creativ Recording Studios in North Vancouver. Accompanied by hip-hop artist Brevner and engineer Jamie Kuse, the guys from Snotty Nose Rez Kids take you behind the scenes for a fire recording of their lyrically-charged anthem, Hooligans.
