Mimi O’Bonsawin: Moonrise

Maybe it’s the comfortable and contemporary aesthetic. Maybe it’s the welcoming, artist-friendly environment. Maybe it’s the top-notch gear, or the expertise of engineer Alex Krotz.

Whatever the reason, Mimi O’Bonsawin has some magical chemistry with Downtown Toronto’s Noble Street Studios. That chemistry was on full display when Mimi walked into her latest session with nothing but a demo recording on her iPhone. Collaborating with Krotz and bassist Ian de Souza, she found her rhythm, embraced the moment and emerged with a soulful and transcendent recording of Moonrise.

Check out the track and see what Mimi had to say about her “soul-satisfying” experience in the latest episode of DD Studio Sessions.
