For Ojibwe hip-hop artist Mic Jordan, music has always been a way to explore his emotions and express himself in a meaningful way. It’s also given him more opportunities than he ever could’ve imagined.
Over the past few years alone, he has toured extensively with the Dream Warriors, mentored youth with the Turnaround Arts Program and performed live at the White House. His passion for Indigenous rights activism also led to an opening gig for Dave Matthews at the Stand With Standing Rock benefit concert in 2016.
In the latest DD Spotlight, Mic talks about his journey and shares his track Music Saved Me.
