In Focus: Festival du Voyageur 2017

Festival du Voyageur has long been Winnipeg’s largest and most celebrated winter festival. It features snow sculptures, wood carving, outdoor activities and delicious snacks. And best of all, live music.

This year, the festival showed a lot of love for local Indigenous talent, booking artists like Boogey the Beat, William Prince, Eagle & Hawk, Indian City, Patti Kusturok, Nadia Gaudet and Jason Burnstick. On Saturday, Feb. 25 alone, the festival showcased the trio of Leonard Sumner, Sierra Noble and Iskwé. Here’s a look back at the magical night that was.
